How to use Ruby Reading Practice Sheets
Prepare reading annotations directly above original base text, including scripts where pronunciation is taught separately from written form. Readings stay authored input, and a student practice copy can omit them entirely instead of hiding answers in HTML or report fields.

Good to know
- 1–50 original blocks, 1–50 segments each, 20 characters per base and 40 per reading string and 20,000 combined characters. Inline control characters are refused. Explicit 16, 20 or 24 point print profiles; all input text is escaped and no external assets are loaded.
- Readings are supplied, not generated or verified. No furigana dictionary, linguistic analysis, transliteration or pronunciation accuracy claim. Native ruby/font wrapping and actual paper pagination need browser/print preview; output is a downloadable artifact, not an in-page arbitrary HTML preview.
- Processing is local. Output is limited to 1,000,000 text characters unless a stricter file limit is stated.
Common questions
Are practice answers merely hidden with CSS?
No. practice-no-key substitutes the same visible blank marker and never includes the reading strings in the report or generated HTML. practice-plus-key intentionally includes a separate teacher page in the same downloaded file.
Is this input sent to a server?
No. The application processes this input inside your browser tab and does not save it to persistent storage.
