How to use Recipe Serving Scaler
Scale a complete ingredient table with exact rational arithmetic. Units are labels: grams, cups and item counts remain separate, with no assumed density, conversion or change to cooking time.
- Enter your own values or load the local synthetic example.
- Run the tool and review the complete result and stated assumptions.
- Copy the output or download the generated file.
Good to know
- 1–200 ingredient rows, at most 50000 source characters and 10 target counts. Each row needs an explicit nonnegative quantity and a literal unit.
- Supports decimals, n/d fractions and proper mixed fractions such as1 1/2, at most 32 characters each. Zero denominators and text quantities are rejected.
- Original and target servings are0.001–1000000; scale factors at most 1000000. Display rounds only; an exact fraction column is retained. No heat, time, nutrition or preservation model. CSV formula-like labels receive a protective apostrophe.
Common questions
Will this convert cups to grams?
No. Different units are retained verbatim. Supply your own explicitly measured quantities before scaling.
How are fractional eggs or spoonfuls handled?
The report keeps the exact scaled fraction alongside a rounded decimal. You decide how to measure or adapt an indivisible ingredient.
