How to use Recipe Nutrient Matrix Workbench
Label each nutrient column with its unit and enter edible ingredient grams plus its complete numeric profile per 100 grams. Sum exact ingredient contributions. Report batch totals, divide by entered servings and normalize using measured final batch grams without inventing cooking retention.
- Use the example as the schema; replace its labels and entered model assumptions.
- Label each nutrient column with its unit and enter edible ingredient grams plus its complete numeric profile per 100 grams. Sum exact ingredient contributions. Report batch totals, divide by entered servings and normalize using measured final batch grams without inventing cooking retention.
- Calculate, inspect the complete witnesses and limitations, then copy or download the JSON report.
Good to know
- Up to 100 ingredients and 20 nutrient columns. Ingredient grams 0–1,000,000, positive total input weight; profile values 0–1 billion with six places. Servings are positive up to 1 million, and measured final grams positive up to 1 billion.
- All profile cells are required numeric strings. Units are labels, not converted; use the same unit within a nutrient column. No food lookup, portions-to-mass conversion, energy-factor calculation, nutrient-loss estimate, safety/health advice or regulatory label rounding.
- Local calculation with no upload, input persistence or outside lookup. Model JSON is limited to 30,000 characters and 10,000 values. Decimal quantities are strings with up to six places; count fields use plain JSON integers. Exact fractions are capped at 8,192 bits. The complete JSON output is limited to 1,000,000 characters; approximate numbers preserve their stored values. Unsupported states fail explicitly.
Common questions
Does a smaller cooked weight mean nutrients were retained?
No. The tool assumes the entered nutrient totals remain in the batch and uses final weight only as a denominator. Real cooking may change nutrient amounts or discard material. Supply a profile appropriate to your ingredients and purpose; this report cannot establish retention or produce a compliant package label.
Are my model inputs saved or sent to a server?
No. This model runs in the current browser tab and creates a local JSON download. It does not save your input or call an external data service.
