How to use Fraction Model Practice Sheets

Turn your chosen proper fractions into original visual identification exercises. Each strip has equal partitions and a chosen shaded quantity; each number line marks the same fraction on a declared 0–1 whole. The supplied denominator stays visible mathematically instead of being replaced by an automatically simplified answer.

  1. Enter 1–24 original labels and canonical numerator/denominator digit strings.
  2. Choose strip or number-line diagrams and whether to include a separate teacher page.
  3. Download the print HTML, then verify diagrams and page layout in print preview.

Good to know

  • At most 24 CSV data records and 30,000 characters. Labels at most 80 UTF-16 characters; denominator 2–24 and numerator 0–denominator. Signs, fractions, exponents and leading-zero integer spellings are refused.
  • Only fractions of one whole from 0 through 1 are shown. No mixed/improper fractions, equivalence solver, random curriculum level, unit conversion or arithmetic-expression evaluation is included.
  • Number lines use equal tick spacing on a fixed 0–1 scale. Strip cells use equal widths and shade the first numerator parts. SVG coordinate serialization has finite precision; this is a visual teaching artifact, not a physical measurement.
  • Student-only output omits generated explicit fraction answers and teacher pages. Original labels may themselves disclose an answer and are retained literally. No curriculum certification, pedagogical outcome or accessibility-equivalence claim for the diagrams is made.
  • Processing is local. Output is limited to 1,000,000 text characters unless a stricter file limit is stated.

Common questions

Why is 2/6 not automatically replaced by 1/3?

The exercise is about the supplied partition model. Six equal parts with two selected is the intended visual evidence. You can discuss equivalence separately without changing the author’s selected denominator.
