How to use CSV Stratified Sampler
Keep quoted records intact while selecting a bounded subset of each stratum. Sampling uses Web Crypto rejection sampling and preserves original row order in the exported sample.
- Enter input, grouping columns (blank for one group), maximum sample per group.
- Choose the settings for csv stratified sampler, then run the tool.
- Review the result and any limitations before copying or downloading it.
Good to know
- Up to100,000 input characters,5000 records and100 columns per table. Downloads quote cells, protect formula-like values and disambiguate colliding exported headers.
- 100 strata. Count is a maximum per group, not a proportional quota or population-weighted statistical design. Every run can produce a different sample.
- Processing is local. Output is limited to 1,000,000 text characters unless a stricter file limit is stated.
Common questions
Can this create a repeatable seeded sample?
No. This version uses browser cryptographic randomness and reports its sampling policy, not a reproducible seed.
Is this input sent to a server?
No. The application processes this input inside your browser tab and does not save it to persistent storage.
