How to use Content Disposition Workbench
Build download headers or inspect international filename parameters safely. Build emits an ASCII filename fallback plus a UTF8 filename* parameter. Inspect recognizes quoted values, duplicate parameters and supported UTF8 extended syntax, reporting a separate safe basename for downloads.
- Provide filename or content-disposition value.
- Choose the supported mode and run the tool. Review its assumptions and any reported errors.
- Copy the result or download a separate output; reset to clear the current form.
Good to know
- 10,000 header characters; builder filename1–200 characters. Only UTF8 extended filename encoding is supported.
- A safe basename is a convenience, not a server path or file-type trust decision. The header is returned as text and never applied to this site.
- Inputs are processed on this device and are not automatically saved or uploaded.
Common questions
Which filename takes priority?
A valid supported filename* value takes priority over filename. The report keeps both original parameters and a separate path-stripped safe download name.
Does this change my original input?
No. The tool returns a separate result. Review that output before using it in another application.
