How to use CRC32 and Adler32 Calculator
Check text against common archive and transport checksum formats. Results show eight-digit unsigned hexadecimal checksums and the number of UTF-8 bytes processed.
- Enter text with the exact whitespace you want to check.
- Select Run tool to calculate CRC-32/IEEE and Adler-32.
- Review the result, then copy it or download the generated file.
Good to know
- Up to 200,000 characters; UTF-8 text input only. CRC uses the reflected IEEE polynomial with standard initial/final XOR values.
- These checksums detect some accidental changes and are not cryptographic or authentication mechanisms.
Common questions
Is this CRC-32C?
No. CRC-32/IEEE and CRC-32C use different polynomials and produce different results.
