How to use Uniform Carton Grid Load Planner
All distinct permutations of the box dimensions are tried. Exact integer division gives the number that fits along each container axis. The largest product wins, with orientation order resolving ties. Preview coordinates describe lower corners from a common origin.
- Enter container dimensions json [length, width, height], box dimensions json [length, width, height].
- Choose the stated convention and check the units and supported model.
- Calculate, inspect the result, then copy or download it.
Good to know
- Exact-grid inputs are plain decimals with at most six places and magnitude≤1e9. Raw JSON number spelling is checked before conversion; decimal strings can preserve exact grid values. Exact rational intermediates are bounded to 8192 bits. Three positive lengths for each shape in one common unit. At most six orientations and the first 500 coordinates are exported, even if the exact count is enormous. Every box uses the same orientation; this does not find the global optimum for mixed orientations or allow tilt, clearance, weight limits, pallets, door access, load stability or physical shipping approval.
- Local calculation only; no input persistence or external lookup. Text/JSON is limited to 30000 characters and output to 1000000 characters. Numeric model inputs and precision/work limits are stated on this page. Approximate JSON numbers retain full stored values; exact arithmetic outputs retain decimal or fraction strings. Unsupported states fail explicitly.
- Educational user-assumption arithmetic only. No live prices, laws, tax rules, quotes or financial advice.
Common questions
Why can another packing arrangement hold more boxes?
This calculation restricts the entire load to one aligned orientation and a regular grid. Mixed orientations, staggered layers or other spatial arrangements can produce a larger count and are outside the supported model.
Is the input uploaded or saved?
No. The tool calculates inside this browser tab and provides a local download; it does not persist your input.
