How to use ASCII Table Generator

Create a readable table for plain-text notes or logs. CSV quoting is parsed before widths are calculated, so commas inside quoted cells do not become extra columns.

  1. Enter input, maximum cell graphemes.
  2. Choose the settings for ascii table generator, then run the tool.
  3. Review the result and any limitations before copying or downloading it.

Good to know

  • Cells longer than the selected width are visibly truncated with an ellipsis. Controls are shown as escapes.
  • Grapheme padding may not align in every terminal font; CJK and emoji can occupy multiple display cells.
  • Processing is local. Output is limited to 1,000,000 text characters unless a stricter file limit is stated.

Common questions

Is this a Markdown table?

No. It uses plain ASCII borders and spacing. Use CSV to Markdown for Markdown syntax.

Is this input sent to a server?

No. The application processes this input inside your browser tab and does not save it to persistent storage.
