How to use Original Analog Clock Practice Sheets
Prepare clock-reading practice for the exact times your learners need. Each diagram has sixty minute marks and moves the hour hand between numerals as minutes pass. Number labels can support beginners or be reduced for practice, while student files omit the explicit digital-time answer key.
- Enter original twelve-hour time strings and choose the numeral scaffold.
- Select student-only, teacher-inclusive or JSON evidence output.
- Inspect the hand positions, answer separation, print geometry and suitable learner accommodations before sharing.
Good to know
- Use 1–12 exact twelve-hour HH:MM strings from 01:00 through 12:59. The minute hand uses 6 degrees per minute; the hour hand uses 30 degrees per hour plus half a degree per minute. SVG endpoints use rounded trigonometric coordinates.
- Choose all numerals, only 3/6/9/12 or no numerals; sixty minute marks remain. No AM/PM, date, timezone, second hand, timer or live-clock behavior is inferred. The diagram represents a twelve-hour reading only.
- Student HTML and summaries omit the explicit digital-time key. A separate teacher page or JSON includes the intended answers/angles. The visible hand geometry necessarily encodes the answer. Original generated graphics use fixed CSS/SVG and do not mount user-supplied markup.
- Six-card A4 source layout needs actual browser/print review; universal pagination and instructional/accessibility outcomes are not certified. SVG labels identify exercises without giving away answers, so teachers must provide appropriate alternative assessment accommodations.
- Processing is local. Output is limited to 1,000,000 text characters unless a stricter file limit is stated.
Common questions
Why is the hour hand between two numbers at 03:30?
A real twelve-hour clock advances its hour hand continuously. At 03:30 it is halfway from 3 toward 4. Keeping it exactly on 3 would teach an incorrect reading, so this tool includes the minute contribution.
