How to use Server-Sent Events Stream Workbench
Parse event-stream source or create an SSE artifact from explicit event data without opening a connection. Inspect multiline data, event names, last-event IDs, retry fields, comments and an unterminated pending event using the HTML event-stream line rules.
- Provide optional local event stream, event stream or event-array json.
- Choose the supported mode and run the tool. Review its assumptions and any reported errors.
- Copy the result or download a separate output; reset to clear the current form.
Good to know
- 500 KB of valid UTF-8, 10,000 physical lines and 1,000 dispatched events. One initial BOM is ignored; CRLF, CR and LF line endings are recognized.
- The final data block is not dispatched without a blank line. A NUL-containing id is ignored. Very large retry integers remain outside the bounded display model.
- Builder data line endings normalize to LF. This does not test proxy buffering, delivery, credentials or reconnection behavior.
- Inputs are processed on this device and are not automatically saved or uploaded.
Common questions
Why is my final data line listed as pending?
An SSE data event is dispatched on a blank line. End-of-file alone does not dispatch an unfinished event block.
Does this change my original input?
No. The tool returns a separate result. Review that output before using it in another application.
