How to use Prime Number Checker

Small-prime checks and deterministic Miller–Rabin witnesses 2, 7, and 61 classify integers within the supported 32-bit range. Modular arithmetic uses BigInt.

  1. Enter nonnegative whole number.
  2. Check that the input follows the stated limits and uses consistent units.
  3. Run the calculator, review the result, then copy or download it.

Good to know

  • Only integers from 0 to 4,294,967,295 are accepted. This is not a cryptographic key generator and does not factor composite values.
  • Decimal inputs have at most 120 characters and magnitude from 1e-100 to 1e15, or zero. Floating-point results are rounded to 12 significant digits; extreme derived results may underflow or be rejected. Exact integer results are identified separately.

Common questions

What calculation does Prime Number Checker perform?

Small-prime checks and deterministic Miller–Rabin witnesses 2, 7, and 61 classify integers within the supported 32-bit range. Modular arithmetic uses BigInt.

Is 1 a prime number?

No. A prime has exactly two positive divisors. Zero and one are neither prime nor composite.
