How to use Pareto Option Frontier Workbench

Compare criteria exactly, retain strict dominance and equality witnesses and peel the finite dominance graph into ordered frontier layers.

  1. Use the example as the schema; replace its labels and entered model assumptions.
  2. Compare criteria exactly, retain strict dominance and equality witnesses and peel the finite dominance graph into ordered frontier layers.
  3. Calculate, inspect the complete witnesses and limitations, then copy or download the JSON report.

Good to know

  • 2–10 distinct criteria and 1–200 distinct option IDs. Each option supplies one decimal-string value per criterion, with magnitude at most 1 billion and six decimal places. Every criterion explicitly minimizes or maximizes.
  • Only supplied numeric values and alternatives are compared. Equal vectors remain separate options; up to five equal-ID witnesses accompany full counts. No missing values, uncertain measurements, preference weights, normalization, continuous optimization or automatic choice. A frontier is relative to the supplied set and declared directions.
  • Local calculation with no upload, input persistence or outside lookup. Model JSON is limited to 30,000 characters and 10,000 values. Decimal quantities are strings with up to six places; count fields use plain JSON integers. Exact fractions are capped at 8,192 bits. The complete JSON output is limited to 1,000,000 characters; approximate numbers preserve their stored values. Unsupported states fail explicitly.

Common questions

Does being on the frontier identify the best option?

No. A frontier option is not strictly dominated by another supplied option on your declared criteria. Different frontier options can trade objectives; preferences, uncertainty, missing alternatives and nonnumeric constraints still matter.

Are my model inputs saved or sent to a server?

No. This model runs in the current browser tab and creates a local JSON download. It does not save your input or call an external data service.
