How to use Occupancy-date Bill Splitter
Enter bill intervals and each person's presence intervals as half-open Gregorian dates. For each bill date divide its equal daily cost among the people present by their entered shares. Keep empty dates in a vacancy pool and inspect source-order cent apportionment.
- Use the example as the schema; replace its labels and entered model assumptions.

- Calculate, inspect the complete witnesses and limitations, then copy or download the JSON report.
Good to know
- Up to 20 people,20 bills and 100 total stays; each person at most 20 stays and each bill 1–366 dates. Positive shares at most 1,000 with six decimal places. One person's stays cannot overlap; different bills may cover the same dates.
- This is a declared daily allocation model. It cannot establish measured consumption, liability, contractual fairness or who actually paid. Different currencies must be analyzed separately; no transfers or interest.
- Local calculation with no upload, input persistence or outside lookup. Model JSON is limited to 30,000 characters and 10,000 values. Decimal quantities are strings with up to six places; count fields use plain JSON integers. Exact fractions are capped at 8,192 bits. The complete JSON output is limited to 1,000,000 characters; approximate numbers preserve their stored values. Unsupported states fail explicitly.
Common questions
Who pays for dates when nobody is present?
Nobody is assigned those dates automatically. Their exact cost is reported in the vacancy pool, which participates last in per-bill cent rounding. Decide separately how your agreement treats that amount; the calculator does not infer a lease rule.
Are my model inputs saved or sent to a server?
No. This model runs in the current browser tab and creates a local JSON download. It does not save your input or call an external data service.
