How to use Cube LUT Workbench
Inspect a supported .cube lookup table or apply it to a bounded raster image. A strict text parser checks1D/3D size, domain and exact RGB row count. Apply uses linear1D or trilinear3D interpolation with red-fastest .cube ordering, clamps output to display bytes and retains alpha.
- Provide cube lut text, raster image.
- Choose the supported mode and run the tool. Review its assumptions and any reported errors.
- Copy the result or download a separate output; reset to clear the current form.
Good to know
- Static PNG, baseline JPEG or simple VP8/VP8L WebP; each≤8MiB,4,000,000 pixels and4,096px per side. Progressive JPEG, VP8X/animated WebP, APNG and compressed PNG profiles/text or PNG EXIF are excluded. Full container structure is checked before native decoding; this is not a complete codec validator. Browser decoding/export can still reject a file or change color profiles. Output is a fresh PNG without original container metadata.
- 200,000 LUT characters;1D2–4096 or3D2–17;1,048,576-pixel image. Headers must be unique and precede exact numeric data rows.
- Assumes browser-decoded encoded RGB; this is not an ICC-managed professional color pipeline. Output values outside0–1 and inputs outside declared domains are clamped.
- Inputs are processed on this device and are not automatically saved or uploaded.
Common questions
Does a LUT understand my camera color profile?
No. You must supply a table for the documented RGB interpretation. This workbench performs the declared numeric interpolation and does not infer camera log encoding, HDR transfer functions or ICC profiles.
Does this change my original input?
No. The tool returns a separate result. Review that output before using it in another application.
