How to use CSV Transposer
Rotate a rectangular CSV grid for a different reporting layout. Unlike splitting on commas, the CSV parser keeps quoted commas, escaped quotes, and cell line breaks together during transposition.
- Paste a rectangular CSV grid of up to 200 rows.
- Select Run tool to swap row and column positions.
- Review the result, then copy it or download the generated file.
Good to know
- Up to 200,000 characters, 5,001 records, 200 columns, and 50,000 characters per cell. Quotes must follow CSV rules; output CSV uses formula-safe apostrophe prefixes where needed.
- At most 200 input records so the transposed output remains within the column limit. The first row is data for this operation, not a special header.
Common questions
Are header cells moved too?
Yes. Transposition treats every cell uniformly, including the first row.
