How to use Multirow CSV Header Flattener

Prepare a rectangular exported report for ordinary CSV consumers while keeping a mapping back to each original header cell. Blank cells can remain absent or inherit the earlier value on that same header row; this is an explicit policy rather than a guess about spreadsheet merges.

  1. Enter input, header levels, header path separator.
  2. Choose the settings for multirow csv header flattener, then run the tool.
  3. Review the result and any limitations before copying or downloading it.

Good to know

  • 200,000 characters,100 columns,1–10 header rows and 5000 output records. Input must be rectangular.
  • No workbook styles or merged-cell detection. Suffix mode makes duplicate names explicit; formula-like header/value prefixes are protected in CSV output.
  • Processing is local. Output is limited to 1,000,000 text characters unless a stricter file limit is stated.

Common questions

Does forward fill infer actual merged spreadsheet cells?

No. It copies the prior nonblank value on each declared header row. Review the original/filled-level mapping before using the flattened field names.

Is this input sent to a server?

No. The application processes this input inside your browser tab and does not save it to persistent storage.
