How to use Development Key Pair Generator
Generate local test signing keys with an explicit private-key export choice. WebCrypto generates an ECDSA P-256/P-384 or RSA-PSS2048/3072 key pair using the browser’s randomness. The tool exports JSON Web Keys for interoperability tests and does not retain a history.
- Provide .
- Choose the supported mode and run the tool. Review its assumptions and any reported errors.
- Copy the result or download a separate output; reset to clear the current form.
Good to know
- Development/test keys only. Private material is shown only when you explicitly select that export option; copied/downloaded private material remains sensitive.
- HTTPS/localhost and WebCrypto support required. No hardware-backed custody, identity issuance, secure storage or certificate trust is provided.
- Inputs are processed on this device and are not automatically saved or uploaded.
Common questions
Can I recover the private key after resetting?
No. There is no saved key history. If you need a private test key, explicitly export it before clearing the page; public-only output cannot recreate it.
Does this change my original input?
No. The tool returns a separate result. Review that output before using it in another application.
