How to use Assembly Station Takt Auditor
Enter net available production seconds, demand and task durations with predecessor IDs. List tasks once in their actual station and sequence order. The audit compares each station’s serial work with takt and preserves reversed dependencies; ideal output is only shown for a valid grouping.
- Use the example as the schema; replace its labels and entered model assumptions.

- Calculate, inspect the complete witnesses and limitations, then copy or download the JSON report.
Good to know
- At most 200 tasks and 20 stations. Available time is positive and at most 1,000,000,000 seconds; demand 1–1,000,000,000 units; each task duration positive and at most 1,000,000 seconds. Separate serial stations and unlimited buffers are assumed. No staffing optimum, ergonomic assessment or production guarantee.
- Local calculation with no upload, input persistence or outside lookup. Model JSON is limited to 30,000 characters and 10,000 values. Decimal quantities are strings with up to six places; count fields use plain JSON integers. Exact fractions are capped at 8,192 bits. The complete JSON output is limited to 1,000,000 characters; approximate numbers preserve their stored values. Unsupported states fail explicitly.
Common questions
Is the theoretical minimum station count a recommended staff level?
No. It is only the exact total-work/takt lower bound. Precedence, indivisible tasks, shared resources, variability and people’s operating conditions can require a different arrangement. This tool audits your supplied assignment rather than optimizing or approving it.
Are my model inputs saved or sent to a server?
No. This model runs in the current browser tab and creates a local JSON download. It does not save your input or call an external data service.
